A wedding in Le Castellet in the Var

 

She is Japanese and he is French. They met in Japan and they decided to get married in the village of Castellet, in Provence. It was Alexandre’s sister who contacted me to arrange an appointment with the future bride and groom. They were still living in the land of the rising sun.

During our meeting, I was immediately seduced by their freshness and simplicity. They are beautiful and radiant. And what about the place they had chosen to celebrate their wedding: the Château des Costes at Castellet. This castle is one of the former homes of the Lumière brothers! Renovated with style, this place is simply exceptional. I already knew that making the wedding photos of Kumiko and Alexandre was going to be a real treat in this part of Provence.

On the day of the wedding, the rain was invited. But that did not taint this day. Preparations for our return from the church, we received fools of water. A true tropical storm! Fortunately, on our return to the castle and the time to make pictures of couples, the sun has reappeared. No more umbrellas. The festivities of the wedding party could begin with a beautiful sunset on the plain of Provence.
